Hi Viewers,
Today I saw the most beautiful building I’ve ever seen in my entire life anywhere in the world: La Sagrada Família. It took my breath away. I actually believe that I could have spent the rest of my life in there and have noticed a new detail every single moment. Gaudi thought of everything: the intricacy of the walls, the positioning of the ceiling beams, the stained glass color spectrum, the symbolism embedded all around, the gold accents, the marble, the varying geometric shapes with circles and triangles and rhombi. Each detail while unique in its own way, paired perfectly with the others and supported it impeccably. Gaudi’s philosophy that nature didn’t have straight lines and therefore the incorporation of curves into his work was clearly prevalent in this masterful cathedral. It was quite honestly the most aesthetically pleasing building that my eyes have ever had the gift of seeing. I can’t stop raving about it at the same time that I am rendered completely speechless. Just wow!!
XOXO. S.
Be sure to go to La Padrera and the house across the street with bones on the exterior. Lots of Gaudi in Barcelona. All so fun. Enjoy!
Sam, you have such a gift of words that I could feel myself right there with you. Enjoy!
