Day One Thousand, Six Hundred and Thirty Two

Hi Viewers,

I was reading my psych textbook a few days ago when something jumped out of me: you can literally be addicted to cuddles. Okay, kind of and not really all at the same time. When you have skin to skin contact with someone — hugging them, etc, oxytocin is being released in your body. That cuddle hormone is said to have a number of really important effects that all help you to maintain relationships and feel bonded to another person. My professor was explaining to us that people who held a loved one’s hand before any stressful task felt immediately less stressed than they had previously and than those who didn’t have that contact. 😻

XOXO. S.
