Confidence comes from the weirdest places when you least expect it. For the past several months, I’ve struggled with a lack of self confidence and then today I woke up with it. I spent all of last week teaching leadership at Spark the Wave, and I thought that I was going to be bad at it. But, as it turns out, I was rather good at it. This came as a surprise and a treat to know that I could teach with little prep and a lot of enthusiasm and that the kids would be so responsive. As soon as I know that I can do something, I like to undertake at least double the next time. So as the week went on, I started teaching more lessons and gathering more responsibilities. It was so marvelous to watch the kids respond to my teaching and for them to enjoy all of my effort. Suddenly, I began to feel confident. I power posed and I began to feel trust in myself, and confidence followed. I can’t believe it.
“Because one believes in oneself, one doesn’t try to convince others. Because one is content with oneself, one doesn’t need others’ approval. Because one accepts oneself, the whole world accepts him or her.” Lao Tzu

I love that teaching has expanded your confidence!!! It was traveling alone for me!
