Today was one of those days, the days you’ll never forget and always look back on with amazement! There were women and men marching in the USA, Canada, Australia, Malawi, Austria, Germany, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Spain, Scotland, Ireland, Denmark, Iceland, Russia, Norway, England, Switzerland, Netherlands, Latvia, Kenya, and so so many more! That’s the world coming together. Sometimes you don’t think there’s a way for you to change the world but we did it today! We all did it together today! There were cheers resounding across the nation on airplanes and on the thousands of buses that surrounded us. We woke up at 4 to get on the bus and by the time we made it to the rest stop, there was nothing but buses in sight filled with people who’s day all started the same way. Getting up early for a cause and a fight that you believed in. It shows that we all start the same way and when we converged on cities, we changed them. We literally got to large in number to go on the official walk in Chicago and the one in Washington changed paths. That’s amazing!! People came of all ages, from babies to older people in walkers, people came of all genders, from all over, just to be stronger together. There were signs help up by little five year olds saying to tweet kindly and to build kindness, and there were signs carried by elderly. I mean it was honestly the most astounding thing I’ve ever experienced. Everyone was respectful and peaceful following all of the set and freed upon rules though there was no enforcement of them. There was no violence. It was the most mind boggling display because I felt like I was surrounded by sisters and family all marching for each other and all becoming essentially one. It was the most beautiful day I’ve ever experienced. The sheer magnitude of people that gathered not only in the US but in the ENTIRE WORLD!! I feel so proud today of the world and so hopeful for the future! I didn’t know that something like this could happen igniting so many lights to shine brightly. There were people giving their own water bottles out to people as they walked by and offering their personal bathrooms to everyone who needed it on the march! There was a sea of pink hats and signs filling the Washington streets and my heart! I can’t believe I was able to be a part of herstory today and to be able to understand what happens when everyone around you unites and showed me the most peace I’ve seen since the election! It was beautiful and made my heart sing and my eyes widen, I can’t wait to keep changing the world! Thank you to everyone that went to march!! I appreciate you and your rights!!
“The world was in step with each other today, all moving in the same rhythm with the same mission to walk the walk and fulfill the dream!!”
