According to the dictionary, over shadowed means to appear much more prominent or important than. But shadowed has a bit of a negative connotation! Today I coined a new word, oversunshined. I was writing a reflection about something I did and I was writing about how a little girls joy was more important than the fear she felt in one moment. Overshadowed really didn’t feel like the right word, but oversunshined just sounded perfect! Joy is sunny and fear is shadowy, so when joy overpowers fear, it should outsunshine it!! What do you think? I love it personally, but that might just be my opinion : )
